My passion for rugby was always supported, even though my mother understood the risks involved in the sport. Instead of discouraging my ambition, she guided me to pursue it responsibly, pairing my athletic goals with a strong academic foundation. She consistently emphasised long-term planning, transferable skills, and the importance of obtaining a formal qualification alongside sport.
North-West University became my institution of choice because it allowed me to develop both academically and athletically. After completing my degree, I progressed to Wits Business School, further strengthening my professional skills. During this journey, I was presented with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play rugby in Bahrain. Today, I am based there as an expatriate, employed by an international company.
This journey reflects the core philosophy of Pathways2Purpose: supporting young people to pursue their talents while intentionally designing sustainable futures. By integrating career guidance, life planning, and personal support, Pathways2Purpose ensures that ambition is never pursued in isolation, but aligned with long-term stability, global opportunity, and purposeful impact.

I was once told I would never complete Grade 12. I passed matric with excellent results. In 2020, I started my first year at Stellenbosch University, earning eight distinctions and an invitation to the Golden Key International Honour Society. This success was made possible through my mother’s structured guidance, belief, and clarity, an approach that now forms the foundation of Pathways2Purpose, created to ensure that other learners receive the direction and support needed to overcome barriers and succeed academically and beyond.

From a young age, my mother always encouraged me to follow my passion while valuing education. She noticed my interest and aptitude in technology early on, and her guidance gave me the confidence to explore IT as a career path. Initially, I enrolled at Rhodes University, but soon realised that the traditional route wasn’t aligned with my true passion.
With my mother’s encouragement, I left university and in 2022 founded my own company, LUSH-TECH PTY LTD, specialising in drone technology. I am currently developing the Drone Up application while continuing to grow my technical skills.
Technology constantly evolves, and I’ve learned that continuous learning, whether on the job or through training—is essential. I am deeply grateful for my mother’s unwavering belief and guidance, which gave me the courage to pursue my purpose and build a meaningful career.
